Hey everyone! A new day, a new product review.
I wanted to find a drugstore dupe to replace my expired pot of Benefit POWmade, and went with the LA Girl Pomade in Soft Black. I think Soft Brown would’ve been a better color for me, but it wasn’t in stock at the store I was at.
Product details
The pot cost $6.50 for 3 grams of product and has a 6-month shelf life after opening. For reference, the Benefit POWmade was ~4 grams (0.17 oz) and took me over a year to get through. With the LA Girl Pomade, you’ve got less product, which makes it easier to finish before it expires.
Pros and Cons
The LA Girl’s formula is creamy, long-lasting, and water-resistant (after set with powder) so I love that! The formula is pigmented, so a little can go a long way. Overall, this brow pomade is a great drugstore option for those who don’t want to pay for prestige brow pomades like Benefit and Anastasia Beverly Hills.
The biggest downside to this product is the color selection. If you’ve got lighter brows, there may not be a color for you because all of the selections are pretty dark. Otherwise, I’m happy with this product.
RIP to my ginger barely there brows
